The Carabelli family sold 100% of IGM to Sirail Group, reinvesting in the group as a minority shareholder.
IGM was founded in 1992 in Follo (La Spezia) and specializes in the design and production of electromechanical and electronic equipment (such as electric cubicles and driver desk components), mainly for the railway market. The company has a subsidiary in Poland and has a consolidated turnover of more than € 20m.
The Sirail Group, founded in 2007, is a French family-owned company specializing in the manufacturing of electrical harnesses for the railway market. Sirail Group grew quickly through the acquisition of Sicor (Tunisia) in 2015, then of Confecta (Germany) in 2016 and finally of Liatech (France and Morocco) in 2017. It also has a production site in Slovakia. Today, Sirail Group employs more than 1,000 people, located in 5 countries and has a turnover of over € 70m.
The merger of the two companies will create a highly competitive player at the European level.
Corus acted as financial advisor to the Carabelli family in the selection of the partner, the structuring of the transaction and the negotiation, throughout the selling process and the reinvestment in Sirail Group.
